As a University conference site we feel that we are able to provide a unique niche to meeting planners. The University offers stimulating learning environments including: participant-pleasing package rates, caring professional staff providing "A Single Point of Contact", and a location that makes people want to return again and again.
In addition, the University is within short walking distance to a wide variety of nationally franchised hotels including the Marriott, Hampton Inn, Residence Inn, Red Roof Inn, Super Eight, Motel Six and the University Inn and Conference Center. The University environment, when partnered with the local hotels, offers a unique alternative. We are able to provide the best of both worlds, a place where individuals or groups can enjoy the service, privacy, and amenities provided by a hotel and yet take advantage of our facilities, state-of-the-art technical abilities and recreational options provided by a campus location.
University at Buffalo
UB serves as a center to the Western New York community for conferences, events, plays, concerts, speakers, sporting events, art exhibits, and more, and we invite you to join our community to see what UB has to offer you. The University at Buffalo is 10 minutes from the Buffalo International Airport, 15 minutes from Downtown Buffalo, and 30 minutes from Niagara Falls.
Campus Facilities
The University at Buffalo's North Campus features a wide variety of attractive, spacious, and flexible facilities that have been used to host thousands of local, national, and international conferences and special events. Capacities from 10-10,000 are available, affording distinct settings that are ideally suited to almost any size meeting or conference.
University Residence Halls
Comfortable on-campus housing is available during the summer at the University at Buffalo's Ellicott Complex and Governors Residence Halls. Additionally, more than 1,000 beds are available year-round at adjacent major hotels and motels.
Campus Dinning and Shops
The University at Buffalo's Dining Services contributes to a positive university experience by providing great food, nutrition, and value available at our residence halls, food courts, and satellites, always a short walk away. The University at Buffalo's Campus Dinning and Shops offers meals with comparable pricing structure. We provide a convenient and comfortable atmosphere to relax and enjoy while dining. Campus catering is available all university locations.
Instructional Technology Services
Instructional Technology Services is the University at Buffalo's resource for audio-visual and computing support. This support includes meeting the needs of University sponsored conferences and special events. Traditional audio-visual support, professional sound equipment, and state-of-the-art video and computer projection support are available. Professional staff with a wide range of experience are available to assist with the presentation needs of your conference or special events.
Athletics and Recreation
The University's Alumni Arena features an eight lane Olympic -size pool, a 200- meter indoor track, a 48,000 square foot main gym, a 20,000 square foot triple gym, a 7,000 square foot gymnastics room and a 2,300 square foot dance studio. The arena has a fixed seating capacity of 6,100. The University's North campus features a 29,013 seat outdoor stadium, which has an eight lane, 400-meter track, natural surface football field, light towers for night events, luxury suites and state of the art training facilities and physical conditioning equipment. There are two locker rooms with an 800 seat capacity. A second stadium features 4,000 permanent seats, an eight-lane, 400 meter running track, and an artificial turf football field.
